If Francis was looking from above, I think he would deem it perfect. I could see him sitting on the rocks and be totally happy. You had his favorite music too. When Alex got into his car ready to drive off, the radio played one of Francis' favorite songs. It was like a signal telling us that he was here and content. You organized everything that your brother would enjoy These past years, you advocated for his well being and took care of his estate the best you could. You had tremendous challenges, but tirelessly and relentlessly moved forward. You were able to salvage his home, his long term care insurance, things critical for his well being. You also tried to save his books and music too. I think it's a wonderful idea for you to live in the house. You have such fondness for it and overlooking the ocean which Francis loved. You still have tasks ahead of you. I hope the road will be easier and that you can one day just live in the house and enjoy. It was drizzling at my house and when I went to pick up my mom, but it was completely dry at Ocean Beach. With the overcast skies, I only saw one couple on the beach, so we really had a nice, private period of time for me to scatter Francis's ashes around the rocks.. It was also a windless day. When I drove back to Modesto on Sat., there was a wind advisory as I drove onto the Bay Bridge. I couldn't help but think that Francis chose the perfect day to be laid to rest. Francis would have been happy to see everyone who was on the beach to see him off. Thanks to all who attended. I hope you did not encounter too much traffic on your drive back to L.A., Alex. I will be returning to the rocks on Fri. to share Francis's favorite dim sum dish and play through his entire playlist.

I have attached Francis's will. I found multiple copies of his will in various spots around his house when I went in to clean it out. His original will was in his safe deposit box. I did not know what was in his will prior to getting into his house. I am considering moving into his house whenever the current renters move out. I have housed a lot of Francis's pictures, books, bookshelves, vases and other decorative items. I would like to return them to his house again. He used to take such pride in his house and furnishings. He kept meticulous records of both the rental property as well as his own property, down to the colors on the walls and when it was painted. After formally closing out the conservatorship (there are two more accounting periods for court approval), I will request to be appointed executor of Francis's estate as requested in his will. Unfortunately, I did not put any of Francis's assets into a trust. I am going to try to do the probate myself to avoid more attorney fees. Please let me know if you have any concerns or other questions.
